Having won several awards over the last few years, this time Ecocem has been recognised as a Deloitte Best Managed Company. Group Managing Director Donal O’Riain explained in the Sunday Business Post this week that their operation designs and builds their own plants including their latest €23 million facility in France. The new facility will be pivotal to the growth of the company in the European market. The company currently employs 70 staff and produces 350,000 tonnes of environment-friendly cement annually.
Kevin Sheehan, partner in Deloitte complimented Ecocem not only on their innovative product but on their sound expansion strategy which illustrates how the Irish company “shrewdly looks at what other locations will be profitable for them”.
Ecocem recognise that to maximise efficiencies they need to focus on their core business. They are one of a growing number of progressive companies who realise the benefit of outsourcing non-profit making activities such as their payroll.
